This well-developed story incorporates historical events, aliens, and military battles, and takes the reader on an action-packed journey with a touch of romance.
A real page turner that you won’t be able to put down
Picked this book up because I have always wanted to see how to adapt a screenplay. The story pulled me right away. The historical background was well researched and the futuristic elements made sense in the context. It’s not hard to see why the screenplay was a success and a finalist in contests. Alien visitations have always intrigued me. Mention of the Roswell incident piqued my interest. Have we been visited? No spoilers here.. You’ll just have to pick your own copy up. Paced like a 5-star action film and very highly recommended. Could have been a little longer though, I thought, but then I have never read an adaptation of a screenplay before.
History and science fiction combined. What a wonderful read this novel turned out. Conspiracy on the government level that stretches across centuries, ancient secrets, aliens, epic battles, romance and so so much more - it is all there, offered to us in the well crafted, beautifully thought-out story of young anthropologist Kevin Grant and mysterious Simona Ortiz,a beautiful woman who hides her identity for a reason.
I simply couldn't put my down, sitting on the edge of my seat, reading into the nights. Highly, highly recommended!
This sci-fi novel was quite interesting. Historical combined with aliens. Conquistadors attack the Altanz village who try and keep their secret from being discovered. But the ’Obelisk’ is revealed and hence the story begins. Present day has General Jacob Fields, Retired Air Force, kidnapping a famous Hollywood director/producer, Oliver K. Stone. He needs to convince him that his story of alien ships is true. He has the proof. After a few days, Mr. Stone is finally convinced.
Young Kevin Grant, is an anthropologist working with archeologists. When in Chile, he runs into beautiful Simona Ortiz who is not who she says she is. I don’t want any spoilers here so all I can say is action, action, action… a bit of romance, intrigue, and a few raging military battles, this book has it all. And the end is surprising. Well done by this author. Hard to put down. Would make a great movie! I was given this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review.

This is a hard to put down book and full of surprising twists. Great read!
Fallen Angels is a well written sci-fi thriller a la Michael Crichton with a new perspective. I easily imagined a summer blockbuster film and could almost hear the soundtrack in my head as I read it. This cleverly conceived story takes us hundreds of years back in time, then forward to a present of mystery, suspense and breathtaking military action. What a great surprise for me to come upon Ms. McClatchey's work!
